Tutorial: Repairing of my Standing fan

Greetings Hive account@diyhub funs! Again with you, I want to share with you my repair work. For the couple of days I relocated new apartment, I have been facing few challenges. One of these is faulty of my "Standing fan." The packing, loading and unloading of items make some parts break. For the past one week now my fan isn't functioning. There was disconnection of the wire cable, the front grill, circlip, rear grill and also the neck of the fan hit the floor and got broken. I was thinking about how to repair. Taking to repairs is going to cost extra cost, so I looked at the situation and decided to try and repair myself.

First was to repair the neck in-between the motor housing and push button of the main fan. I was having some sollotape ( Adhesive Tape) and plaster, so I decided to use them to fix the affected part. I opened the sollotape ( Adhesive tape) and begin to wound it around the neck of the fan. To make it stiff and compact, I added a very sticky plaster around again and again.

The next was to join the front grill and rear grill with the circlip. I lose the screw with a pointed knife since I was not having screwdriver. After this, I fixed exactly the front grill and rear grill and began to tightening the screw with the pointed knife.

I finally repaired the wire cable that is connected to the socket. some portion was disconnected, so I cut that part and rejoined it again. I wounded the sollotape around it and try to test it whether it functions well. Wow!, it worked out perfectly. I have gotten my fan back.

I finally enjoy the fresh air blowing by my fan. These days the weather has been so hot during the night. The heat that has been accumulated during the day begin to emit from the aluminum sheet. This makes the room very hot to accommodate. I am therefore excited 😊 to get fresh air from my fan again. Thanks for your attention!
