The New Westminster Riverfront area is a really fun place to visit as it's a true working river. Anytime you go wander around there something is happening whether it's a massive tugboat pulling a log boom or a barge. And when I look out the window and see the full moon I'm always drawn down to the river for a stroll.
It's usually more interesting as there are more people down there when the moon is out and the faces are always changing as the Royal City of New Westminster is starting to ramp up property development. Bosa has already broken ground with two gorgeous towers called River Sky and they have a pretty much approved project with 45 and 55 storey towers right on the waterfront with huge parks and hotel properties. I've only been here for 5 years and the growth has already been incredible. And it's just getting started!
I think it's probably a good idea for me to make the most of this still small town feeling place before it grows up more and shifts into it's next phase as a city. It's always going to be a charming place with heritage homes and business fronts but the quiet moments will become more alive as new people enter into the community.
The skyline was beautiful with pink hues and cotton candy clouds over the mountains. I just snapped these with my iPhone and am now wishing I would have brought the proper camera out... next time I will bring it for sure. Anyway I hope you enjoyed taking a quick look at my neighbourhood. Wishing you all a beautiful summer weekend!!
