I grasp the fresh air while looking for a subject to my next shutter click. Photowalk as how they refer to but this was just a walk at the back of our subdivision. Hubby and I had to check out the latest project done at the back which was once a hill, a green one, now not anymore.
On the dusty path, two boys walk past me, holding their dear tiny doggie into the younger one's breast, keeping that doggie dear to his heart like a precious pet. He didn't mind getting dirty, he didn't mind collecting tiny furs into his delicate skin, he was also dirty in the first place from all the playing at the nearby hill.
Those eyes show innocence, they know nothing about the harsh world, just yet. They are aware only of games and play, they have no idea there's a cruel world awaiting outside this barren mountain and that life is so much harder from there.
Truth to be told, they are fragile. The life they have right now may not be the best. They may feel pain and struggles from living in the squatter's area but that won't take away that they live happily under the same roof where their family lives. The precious innocence kept in a four-cornered home.
