Day 8 of the 30-day Blogging Challenge. Today I get to tell you about goals I've set for myself. I feel some are easy to achieve, while a couple are a bit more difficult. All need finalizing or bring to some type of conclusion once I decide which direction I want to proceed. Since I retired, I try not to put any additional pressure or stress on myself. However, I've let them linger far too long. This year is the time set some timelines and stick to them.
Giorno 8 della sfida dei 30 giorni di Blogging Challenge. Oggi ho l'occasione di parlarvi degli obiettivi che mi sono prefissato. Credo che alcuni siano facili da raggiungere, mentre altri sono un po' più difficili. Tutti devono essere finalizzati o portare a qualche tipo di conclusione una volta che decido in quale direzione voglio procedere. Da quando sono andato in pensione, cerco di non mettermi ulteriore pressione o stress. Tuttavia, li ho lasciati indugiare troppo a lungo. Quest'anno è il momento di fissare delle linee temporali e di attenersi ad esse.

- Declutter My Workspace
This was a project I started at the beginning of this year. It's now December. I started by dividing my office into four sections of work: bookcase; office desk; sitting area; and storage area. I've only managed to put in order one section. My bookcase area looks amazing. Just three more sections to go. The problem is each time I clean an area, I clutter it up again. My shredder is begging for some action. I need to get going on discarding all my non-essential papers.
This is a project I want to finalize in 3 weeks -- by the end of December.
- Estate Planning
We started over ten years ago deciding how we were going to distribute our estate to heirs. We were still in the workforce, so we didn't see a need to rush to get this accomplished. We'd work on it a few months out of the year, then put it aside as life dealt us more pressing issues. In order to plan some items, documentation was required to be put in place first. We've finalized all necessary paperwork.
Now, we can move forward and have resolved to finalize the estate planning within the next 6 months.
- Scrapbooks
This is another project I've been working on for a several years. I still have to locate many of my old photos that were in storage. Some were taken years ago with an old Polaroid camera. Worse than than, some photos were taken with the instant models. These are the photos that are now fading. I can't see the faces clearly or what is happening in the background. I fear I didn't store them correctly. They were exposed to heat and cold. It's my mistake. Now, my precious memories may be lost of my children's childhood antics and family gatherings.
I have set a deadline of 2 months to compile and separate into individual boxes photos for each child. Photos of extended family members will be placed in a separate box. Then, I'll make each a scrapbook for them to keep. I know it's a bit late, but I'm finally going to tackle this.
With their help, I just may be able to accomplish it in the next 6 months.
- Lose 10 Pounds
Last months health check up was good. However, my Diabetic Nutritionist encouraged me to lose an additional ten pounds. She also advised that I needed to add more vitamin supplements to prevent additional bone deterioration.
My goal is to lose those last stubborn ten pounds in the next 2 months.
- Reach Level 70 Hive Reputation
I had set a goal for myself to reach level 70 on Hive by the end of my two-year anniversary on Hive in 2021. I feel I have worked hard to accomplish this. I set publishing an article at least 3 times a week and no less than 20 episodes of engagement with other authors if possible each week. With a higher reputation level and more resources, I can help other lower accounts on their journey on Hive.
I just celebrated my 1-year anniversary this past July. It's now December, and I reached level 69 yesterday.
I feel I'm close to accomplishing my goal, so I've set another six months to reach Level 70.
- Declutar mi espacio de trabajo
Este fue un proyecto que empecé a principios de este año. Ahora es diciembre. Comencé dividiendo mi oficina en cuatro secciones de trabajo: librería, escritorio de oficina, área de descanso y área de almacenamiento. Sólo he conseguido poner en orden una sección. El área de mi librería se ve increíble. Sólo faltan tres secciones más. El problema es que cada vez que limpio un área, la vuelvo a desordenar. Mi trituradora está pidiendo algo de acción. Necesito seguir desechando todos mis papeles no esenciales.
Este es un proyecto que quiero terminar en 3 semanas... para finales de diciembre.
- Pianificazione dello Stato
Abbiamo iniziato più di dieci anni fa a decidere come distribuire il nostro patrimonio agli eredi. Eravamo ancora nella forza lavoro, quindi non vedevamo la necessità di affrettarci per ottenere questo risultato. Ci lavoravamo qualche mese all'anno, poi lo mettevamo da parte perché la vita ci poneva problemi più urgenti. Per pianificare alcuni elementi, era necessario prima mettere a punto la documentazione. Abbiamo completato tutti i documenti necessari.
Ora possiamo andare avanti e abbiamo deciso di portare a termine la pianificazione del patrimonio nei prossimi 6 mesi.
- Libri di ritagli di giornale
Questo è un altro progetto a cui sto lavorando da diversi anni. Devo ancora localizzare molte delle mie vecchie foto che erano in magazzino. Alcune sono state scattate anni fa con una vecchia Polaroid. Peggio ancora, alcune foto sono state scattate con i modelli istantanei. Queste sono le foto che ora stanno scomparendo. Non riesco a vedere chiaramente i volti o quello che succede sullo sfondo. Temo di non averle memorizzate correttamente. Sono state esposte al caldo e al freddo. È un mio errore. Ora i miei preziosi ricordi d'infanzia dei miei figli e delle riunioni di famiglia potrebbero andare perduti.
Ho fissato un termine di 2 mesi per compilare e separare in singole scatole le foto di ogni bambino. Le foto dei membri della famiglia allargata saranno messe in una scatola separata. Poi, farò un album di ritagli da conservare per ognuno di loro. So che è un po' tardi, ma finalmente affronterò la questione.
Con il loro aiuto, potrei riuscire a farlo nei prossimi 6 mesi.
- Perdere 10 libbre
Il controllo dello stato di salute degli ultimi mesi è stato buono. Tuttavia, il mio nutrizionista diabetico mi ha incoraggiato a perdere altri dieci chili. Mi ha anche consigliato di aggiungere altri integratori vitaminici per prevenire un ulteriore deterioramento delle ossa.
Il mio obiettivo è quello di perdere quegli ultimi testardi dieci chili nei prossimi due mesi.
- Raggiungere il livello 70 di reputazione dell'alveare
Mi ero prefissato l'obiettivo di raggiungere il livello 70 sull'Alveare entro la fine del mio biennio all'Alveare nel 2021. Sento di aver lavorato duramente per raggiungere questo obiettivo. Ho stabilito di pubblicare un articolo almeno 3 volte a settimana e non meno di 20 episodi di impegno con altri autori, se possibile ogni settimana. Con un livello di reputazione più alto e più risorse, posso aiutare altri account più bassi nel loro viaggio su Hive.
Ho appena festeggiato il mio primo anno di vita lo scorso luglio. Ora è dicembre, e ieri ho raggiunto il livello 69.
Sento di essere vicina al raggiungimento del mio obiettivo, quindi ho fissato altri sei mesi per raggiungere il livello 70.
