Misfits At the Fountain of Paradise | A Mixed Media Art Project

There is a Place. A Place one can go where all are welcome. A Place that known as The Fountain of the Misfits". That's why I dwell. And I'm in heaven among friends with like mind and temperament.

For my current mixed media art project, I wanted to venture from my usual dark scenery to something light, but with dark undertones. I think the blending of both worlds worked for this project.

Below are the steps:

Canva is my design program I use to blend the different type images. Once uploaded, I start with a blank, white canvas. I then add layers of elements in accordance with my upgraded Annual Pro Membership that includes tools to remove backgrounds, resize, filter, duplicate, and reposition items as required.

Perhaps of all the tools, the ability to remove backgrounds thereby creating transparencies of the images is crucial to the blending process.

For the primary images in the scene, I chose a desert background, then another landscape rock feature. The punk rock female was perfect to fit in as a misfit. I didn't want to crowd the scene with numerous animals. Finally, I added a odd pure fractal I created in the advanced fractal rendering program, Apophysis 7X.
