Another fractal art project showcasing one of my recent fractal designs. The color that emerged was an awesome display of purple. The color weaved a net of intricate patterns in a circle. Other colors such as green, pink, and red jetted through the sides of the circle as if blade cutting a path. I love dark and dramatic colors, and purple fits this category. The color was actually dark blue or blue purple.
The color purple has numerous shades and is derived from the mixing of red and blue. Different cultures define this beautiful hue in several terms. Western civilizations refer to the blue-dominated spectrum as purple. Meanwhile, Eastern cultures may refer to the same spectrum as violet. 1
From the Tyrian purple utilization in contemporary English's "purpura" meaning imperial purple and royal purple, this type of color consisted of a dye extracted from a mollusk. This shellfish was found on the shores of the city of Type located in ancient Phoenicia. The color became a symbol of royalty and political authority as only the very wealthy could afford it. Among the wealthy who used this color included Roman Emperors. The Terracotta Army was also adorned with the color purple on certain parts of their body. 1
I can just imagine the festivals, garments, and decorative items adorned with this rich and luxurious hue. When it comes to festivals, celebrations take place around the world at different seasons. Activities include singing, dancing, blessing of the year's food crops, and then sharing those foods with each other.
Some countries may gather items and give to the needy. But the basic theme is one of giving and sharing the bounty so all can be sustained and blessed for the coming year. At the end, they celebrate with a huge feast where all are invited. I liken it to a family reunion of gigantic proportions.
In preparing this fractal and generative art project, I utilized primarily my first pure fractal image above, together with two of my other pure fractals below.
I then enlisted the assistance of Night Cafe. This program utilizes stable diffusion in its creation of generative art. I actually used one of my Nova Fractals to create the festival food diffusion art. The following text prompts were inserted to retrieve my vision of a festival of items to be distributed and hands to deliver them.
Below are my steps:
Text input:
"Goodness gracious, great balls of fire rising from the ground."
Result:
Text input:
"Deep purple and white fragile wrinkled hand reaching out."
Result:
I added a beautiful filter to the hands to illuminate them.
Image manipulation and enhancement:
For the goddess of the harvest, I included a free image I felt would lend credence to the theme.
Utilizing Canva, I was able to blend the fractals and the stable diffusion art to create the festival. Here is the final version:
Thanks for taking the time to view my post. I hope you like my fractal and generative art project.
Happy rest of the week everyone with whatever your endeavors.
