The Brown Wannabe Monarch | Mixed Media Projec

I love butterflies. I love the color brown and all its hues. I discovered that seeing a brown butterfly meant I would be receiving good news soon.

The brown butterfly may not be as famous as the original monarch butterfly in its vast migratory adventures, but it does hang around locally to spread cheer and good fortune.

For my current mixed media project, I wanted to incorporate a butterfly into a human mind. I love working with female subjects. Their expressions say it all in any given circumstances. The female free-sourced image was an inspiration. With her head turned sideways glancing off into the unknown. As always, images from LMAC members' contributions to the #LIL add a flavor of their own to my designs. I also included one of my pure fractals I created with the advanced fractal rendering program Apophysis 7X.

Below are my steps in which I utilized Canva, my design program, to blend the different type images, starting with a blank, white canvas, then adding layers of elements.
