Yes, you read it right, I like to make weird noises.
Ranging from bird noises to bass growls, drum to trumpet effects, people like me like to call ourselves beatboxers. We're a bunch of human being who make all sorts of sounds using only our mouths for our own entertainment, and hopefully, everyone else's too.
My name is Justin Tan and I'm an 18 year old Malaysian. I'm a beatboxer, or as some others like to call it, a vocal percussionist. This hobby of mine has grown to become more than just making noises with my mouth. It has lead to me stepping out of my comfort zone, meeting people from all walks of life, and not to mention ending up right here, on steemit.
I've ended up here because I joined the Beatnation Initiative, a program run by Beatnation that will one day hopefully help us beatboxers in Malaysia be able to earn some money. As a beatboxer, I can say we have a lot to offer.
