Festivals are not only a time for joyous celebration, but they create a lively, fun environment and we also get to witness the talents of people in the way they decorate their houses. The various handmade decorations bear testament to the creativity in people, than they are certainly meant to be admired and appreciated. The following are pictures of a lovely floral rangoli (traditional art form) which was taken at a friend's house:

I love everything about the floral rangoli - the beautiful designs and patterns, the light from the diyas (clay lamp), the various shades of the beautiful petals... I'm pretty sure I'd never be able to create something so gorgeous and intricate.
