Muslim leaders recognize East Jerusalem as Palestinian capital

Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC), formed by Muslim countries, has recognized East Jerusalem as the capital of the occupied Palestinian state. Muslim countries have taken this decision as a reaction to the recognition of the United States of America as the Israeli capital.
This decision was taken at the emergency conference of the OIC in Istanbul on Wednesday. Saudi Arabia and its allies sent a lower-level delegation to the conference, fearing that no action would be taken against US President Donald Trump's decision. But the Muslim countries take bold decisions to declare East Jerusalem a Palestinian capital, rather than their differences.
