Today twelve pre-ordered copies left the void and have found their way into the digital hands of twelve readers. Twelve is amazing. I was only expecting maybe three or four people to pre-order, and to see twelve instead is just fantastic!
For anyone curious about how Amazon pre-orders work, from my perspective at least it seems as though the release has been staggered throughout the day. I woke up this morning to see four copies had been released, then a couple of hours later another was let free, and so on and so forth.
One of the main things I was looking forward to was seeing if pre-orders did indeed have an impact on Amazon rankings, and if they actually count as Day One Sales. I would like to say that the answer is, "yes."
This book is currently only available on Amazon, and is available free for Kindle Unlimited subscribers. If you are a subscriber I would love it so much if you could grab yourself a free copy! And leave a review when you're finished. Even a 1 star review and, "I hated this garbage," is better than silence. It costs you nothing and whether you loved it or loathed it, it means the world to me.
In January this book will be available on other outlets such as Smashwords, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Apple, and other assorted retailers, as well as a physical copy for those who would prefer a book upon their shelf rather than a digital file. 😊
If it wasn't for my being on Steem, being a part of this community (and then swarming to Hive) this book would never have been finished. I would never have had the confidence and motivation to write through my tears and finish this thing, furthermore it would not have been as polished, edited, and chopped-and-sliced as it is now. The darlings would not have been murdered.
I firmly attribute my being here to my success as a published author, even if a very unknown indie one. 🙃
