Dear friends,
My favourite colour is blue in all kinds of shading. So, when I find a shop stocked with lots of blue-and-white ceramic and porcelain, I naturally gravitate to that shop very often. After some time, the manageress of the ceramic shop at Amarin Plaza has become my friend. I could buy ceramic and pottery at special prize! Mrs. Porn is a very dedicated person; she enjoys rearranging the shop every week and she often has to pack several boxes of ceramic for overseas customers too. When we had some spare time, Porn would show me her yoga postures so that I could memorise to take home for my practice.
These ceramic pots and dishes were hand-made in the sense that all the drawings, painting and glazing had been done manually by people at the kiln factory in the north of Thailand. So, all the Chinese characters and the patterns on the big vases were all individually written by hands!
So, I would like to share with you my favourite ceramic pieces.
