This morning (Thursday) the director of the school sent me this photo. I planted these seeds last Thursday! Look at how big they are.
I was interested in gardening at a young age and wanted to share the experience with the children in my friend's preschool. On Monday, I paid them a visit and brought them this glass jar where I was starting bean seeds. Yes, I did 'Show and Tell' that day! The seeds had started sprouting a few days earlier.
With the beans growing like weeds and the children interested and loving it, I think the project has been a great success. Next, they're going to try transplanting them to pots and then moving them outside when planting season starts here... in late May. Let's hope they haven't engulfed the classroom by then...
