A simple example can help us understand this idea clearly.Suppose I buy a mobile phone that is not very expensive but it does fully meet my needs. It allows me to call, text, study and use online information for my study purpose easily. In reality, this phone is enough for my daily life.
However, after some time, another new desire enters my mind that is I should buy an expensive phone like a recent model of iPhone. Now,this desire is not based on need but on attraction and comparison. This is exactly what is happening in our society today.
Many people already have things that fulfill their basic needs that can make their lives calm and comfortable. But when they see others on social media using expensive gadgets, cars and lifestyles, they start feeling that their own life is not enough. sense of insecurity rushes through them making the available blessings seem undesirable.Advertisements also play a strong role by creating a sense that expensive things are necessary for happiness and status.

Because of this outwardly pressure, people begin to chase things they cannot afford. Some take loans just to buy costly items and show a better lifestyle. This creates financial stress and disturbs their peace of mind.In extreme cases, when people are unable to fulfill their desires, they feel hopeless and depressed.Sadly, some even take very harmful steps, which can destroy not only their own lives but also their families.
The root problem is not lack of resources but lack of patience and understanding.Nature already provides us with what we truly need to survive and live a peaceful life.Food, shelter, basic tools and simple comforts are enough for a stable and happy life. The problem begins when we turn every desire into a need.My advice to society is simple that’s to develop patience and learn to control desires.
People should focus on their basic necessities and be thankful for what they already have.A comfortable life does not mean having the most expensive things but it means living without constant stress and pressure.Having too many desires that we cannot afford only leads to frustration and disturbance. On the other hand, when we limit our wants and live according to our needs, life becomes more peaceful and balanced.Nature always fulfills our necessities but our endless desires are something we must learn to manage ourselves.
