The flagging is still on and i think its day 3 or day 4. It wont matter till it stops. I was hoping to receive payouts today but it seems like the people downvoting are up 24x7 so no matter what time i am to receive a payout it will be downvoted.
Can't upload pictures yet. So unable to post proof or more importantly participate in any photography contests - something that i was actually enjoying. In fact these days while walking back home from work, i am always on the lookout for a shot that goes with a daily theme. So it was kind of helping me to do more photography. Anyway, this too shall pass.
Hoping that the dust settles.
Realization #1: Having the ability to voice an opinion is extremely powerful
The worst part about receiving the rancho flags was that all my comments and posts were going to be hidden due to low ratings. And more often than not, this is the case for spammers. So whenever i comment, i would have been a spammer and people would not have bothered to read what i wrote. I have liked that about steemit. Not just content but comments also have the ability to be worth something. Everyone' voice is worth something. The better formed your opinion, the more it is worth. That idea has so far been unthinkable as far as any other social media site is concerned. In fact sometimes, my comments have enough material to be a post because i write them like a small post.
Realization #2: You're not alone if you're on the right side.
It was great to know that i wasnt alone in this. The whole community was behind me. The moral support, the kind comments, the upvotes, actual steem, i got everything during this experience. The power of community support is immense. If it hadn't been for the advice of the community, it would have taken me 6 months to be able to write this post. To be honest, right at this moment, i truly can't find words to justify how great i felt when people came to upvote me and comment on my posts. It was truly overwhelming and i dont think i will ever find the right words to explain it. 'Thank you' falls short.
So yeah, that's it folks. Cryptos also seemed to have been flagged and looks like the flagging of bitcoin will continue for a few more weeks. Sit tight, because remember, you are on the right side (buyers) and the whole community is behind you.
