Hunter's comment
I love mechanical watches. Its not new tech but the innovations that top watchmakers implement are sometimes unnecessary but mind-blowing to say the least. Vacheron Constantin's Twin Beat Perpetual Calendar is a perfect example of that.
The watch comes with 2 balance springs, one vibrating at 5 Hz and the other at 1.2 Hz for standby mode. By simply pressing a pusher on the left side of the case, the watch automatically switches between balance springs, same mainspring barrel but will keep beating for 2 months - an industry first. Oh, and its a perpetual calendar so no date changes required, even for leap years till 2100 (i think). The mechanism is patent pending and all this is packed in a nice 42 mm case, that will suit any wrist perfectly.
Show some love for this one. Price: I don't know and I don't care.
