Living in Dublin taught me the importance of finding
small comforts.
For me, it's Caffè Nero. I walk in, order an English breakfast tea with milk and their cheese & tomato toastie. The tea comes in a real teapot - not paper cups. The marble tables and quiet corners make it feel like a European cafe from old movies.
The toastie is simple but perfect. Crispy sourdough, melted cheddar, roasted cherry tomatoes on top. Paired with strong milky tea, it's my definition of comfort.
I sit here with my book. No laptop, no phone scrolling. Just tea, rain on the windows, and peace.
These small rituals keep you sane when you're living abroad, away from family. Caffè Nero is when Dublin starts to feel like home.
Total cost: €8.50. The peace of mind? Priceless.
Do you have a cafe that feels like home? What's your go-to comfort order?
