Two months ago I made posts about my very first choker project. I shared some steps about creating the illustration for the medallion and also assembling the other parts.

. My Small Pendant . - Part 02
After the project was ready and presented to some friends and family I started searching for other ways to promote it. Platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, even Etsy provide good opportunities, but I wanted something else.
Some of my friends and colleagues also hire models to present their hand-made crafts or even play as models themselves (some are incredibly beautiful). Well, as for me... let's say that I had to look for other way.
That led me to the idea of creating my own models... .
I found a pile of color papers in a forgotten corner of my room, some are thicker than regular print paper. All are in size A4. Some have a nice texture that I used in one of my previous posts.
For this I chose the light ocher.
And here are the materials used. It sounds a bit silly, but it's all I needed. For now.
The general idea was to draw a model in frontal view and make holes in the paper in which I was going to tie up the choker. I was hoping the thickness to be enough. I knew that if I screw up the paper had to redraw the whole picture. There's no Ctrl+Z in this business. XD
I almost forgot taking pictures of the process. Seems kind of natural, when you work in a "flow", forget almost everything else.
Once side of the hair is done, now for the other.
I still wasn't sure about the face.
And now for the hard part - I had to make holes in the paper. During my college years I got my hands on an instrument called stiletto (not really sure if this is the right word in English). We used it to make tiny holes in the cloth, it helped during the sewing process. But after some time I lost it and the only sharp instrument I had was the Faber-Castell pencil tip. XD So... I used it.
I wasn't really satisfied with the result.
I really have to look for thicker paper, different colors and switching to ink instead of graphite. Have to experiment more.
I'm also planning to make series of sketches depending on the choker designs.
And maybe someday this will be my brand packaging, who knows... its size is too big tho'...
I've recently joined the SteemMakers' community.
Hope the post qualifies. I also have my very first footer, I'm so happy! .
