If you're visiting Seoul even for a couple of days, it's impossible to miss this tower that is right in the middle of the city.
Even the motorcycle cover points me to the tower
Every time I travel to a new city or country, I would always include a famous tower in that city on my list. Probably because it's a chance for me to see the big picture of the city at the same time a chance to go hiking, which I rarely do.
However, I actually rode the cable car up to Namsan Tower since I already hiked to the station from my hostel. And it was already tiring for me because it took me quite a long time to reach the station and I was distracted by the cool street art and graffitis.
Here's a close up look of the tower and the Namsan Octagonal Pavilion:
I passed by this bridge full of 'love locks'. It's too cheesy for my taste but also of course, feeling a bit bitter because I was surrounded by happy couples. This is also when I realized that wherever I went in Seoul, it seemed like each one has a partner. Where were the single ladies and gentlemen?
Here are the photos I took from the observatory:
Of course, an obligatory 'I'm from the Philippines' photo. Sorry for the potato quality.
I was a little bit disappointed because the observation deck is completely indoor. It could have been a nicer experience if there were outside viewpoints. I also couldn't take good photos of the city due to the reflections of the windows. Nevertheless, it's always nice to have a 360 degree view of the city in person.
Pictures are all mine :)
