Greetings to all my dear readers, especially to my crafter and crocheter friends from my favorite community: NeedleWorkMonday. I hope you are having a very productive week. I, for one, am very motivated with my crochet projects. Every day new occasions arise in which I can put into practice my favorite skill: crocheting.
A few days ago one of my many nieces had her birthday; little Anabel, who was turning 9 years old. Anabel is a very cute and coquettish girl, she is always very well dressed and likes to look like a princess, that's why for her birthday I thought of knitting her a nice bag and that is precisely the project I want to share with you today.
To knit this bag I chose a super simple pattern, easy and quick to make. As you all know, I'm a big fan of granny squares, so I decided to make the bag from 2 granny squares.
The color I chose is a nice fuchsia color in 1 mm thick acrylic yarn, but I complemented it with ecru pabilo yarn so that the fabric will be much thicker and firmer. Generally, I usually combine 2 different types of yarns to achieve more eye-catching colors and more firmness in the fabric. The ecru wicker and the acrylic blend quite well and a very nice finish is achieved.
To make this simple wallet, you only need to knit 2 granny squares of the same size and then join them together using single crochet on only three sides of the granny. Finally the handle is knitted to the desired length and just like that you can make a nice little purse. The final detail was to place a small white flower and two little leaves in the center of one of the sides of the purse, to give it a more tender and feminine look.
Fue un placer para mí compartir con ustedes uno más de mis proyectos de fin de semana. Gracias por leer, saludos y bendiciones.
I must say that I really loved the final result, and I also liked the way I was able to finish the whole project so quickly. On the other hand, I had a great time while I was working on this project, because at the same time I was watching one of the new Netflix series, called "The Queen Charlotte".
It was my pleasure to share with you one more of my weekend projects. Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.
