PRINTABLE LOTTERY FOR CHILDREN: An excellent didactic game

Bendecido día queridos amigos de Hive, deseo para ustedes un excelente fin de semana. Hoy me complace compartir con ustedes un proyecto al que le he dedicado mucho tiempo, se trata de un juego de mesa didáctico y divertido para practicar el idioma Inglés o cualquier otro lenguaje. Se trata de una lotería para niños con el fin de promover el aprendizaje de vocabulario en idiomas extranjeros.

Blessed day dear friends of Hive, I wish you an excellent weekend. Today I am pleased to share with you a project to which I have dedicated a lot of time, it is a didactic and fun board game to practice the English language or any other language. It is a lottery for children in order to promote the learning of vocabulary in foreign languages.

Soy Docente de profesión y aunque me desenvuelvo en otras áreas y realizo múltiples actividades, siempre me ha gustado enseñar y trabajar con niños. A la mayoría de los niños les gusta aprender idiomas, en especial cuando se les enseña de una forma divertida y sencilla, es por eso que desde que me dedico a enseñar Inglés a niños y adolescentes, he buscado herramientas didácticas que me permitan educar de una manera más alegre y dinámica. Me encanta crear juegos didácticos, al igual que adaptar los juegos de mesa populares y redirigir su función hacia el aprendizaje y reforzamiento de nuevo vocabulario en Inglés o Español, según sea la necesidad del estudiante.

I am a teacher by profession and although I work in other areas and perform multiple activities, I have always enjoyed teaching and working with children. Most children like to learn languages, especially when they are taught in a fun and simple way, that's why since I have been teaching English to children and teenagers, I have been looking for didactic tools that allow me to educate in a more joyful and dynamic way. I love creating didactic games, as well as adapting popular board games and redirecting their function towards learning and reinforcing new vocabulary in English or Spanish, depending on the student's needs.

Hace unos días se me ocurrió renovar un juego de lotería que hice hace mucho tiempo para practicar vocabulario con mis estudiantes y al mismo tiempo divertirnos un rato. Con el paso del tiempo y con el uso frecuente, el juego se fue deteriorando, así que decidí elaborar un nuevo juego de lotería con figuras muy coloridas y agregar más vocabulario.

A few days ago it occurred to me to renew a lottery game I made a long time ago to practice vocabulary with my students and at the same time have some fun. As time went by and with frequent use, the game deteriorated, so I decided to make a new lottery game with colorful figures and add more vocabulary.

Para llevar acabo este proyecto utilice la herramienta Canva.com para diseñar los nuevos cartones y elaborar las nuevas fichas. El vocabulario consta de 100 palabras dividas en varias categorias entre las que se encuentran : Los animales, las frutas, los alimentos, cosas de la naturaleza y objetos varios. Me tomé el tiempo para seleccionar imágenes coloridas y llamativas que fueran agradables para los niños y fáciles de comprender a simple vista. Para crear los cartones me ayudé con un generador de algoritmos númericos que encontré en la web, para evitar la posibilidad de los cartones de loteria se repitan.

To carry out this project I used the Canva.com tool to design the new cards and make the new cards. The vocabulary consists of 100 words divided into several categories among which are: Animals, fruits, food, things of nature and various objects. I took the time to select colorful and eye-catching images that were both child-friendly and easy to understand with the naked eye. To create the cards I helped myself with a numerical algorithm generator that I found on the web, to avoid the possibility of repeating lottery cards.

Fueron días que estuve trabajando en este proyecto, ya que solo le podía dedicar algunas horas al día. Ahora solo me queda imprimir los cartones y las fichas, luego recortarlas y pegarlas en un material resistente para luego comenzar a jugar y divertirme con mis estudiantes mientras reforzamos el vocabulario adquirido en lecciones previas. Este juego refuerza la memoria, la asociación de imagen y significado, la audición y la pronunciación de vocabulario, tanto en el caso de una lengua extranjera, como en la propia lengua materna.

Those were days that I was working on this project, since I could only dedicate a few hours a day to it. Now I only have to print the cards and the cards, then cut them out and paste them on a resistant material and then start playing and having fun with my students while we reinforce the vocabulary acquired in previous lessons. This game reinforces memory, image and meaning association, listening and pronunciation of vocabulary, both in the case of a foreign language and in the mother tongue itself.

Al tener terminado mi proyecto, se me ocurrió que podía compartirlo en esta comunidad y obsequiarles el juego de lotería para que lo puedan imprimir y usarlo con sus hijos, alumnos o amigos. When I finished my project, it occurred to me that I could share it in this community and give them the lottery game so they can print it and use it with their children, students or friends.
