Have you ever tried japanese Dango before?
Dango is very similar to rice cake, it's much smaller and super easy to make, no machine needed to make it.
Yesterday was the winter solstice, and it is our tradition to eat pumpkin.
My mother makes OSHIRUKO (japanese traditional sweets) so we put rice cake or Dango!
I used pumpkin power to give pumpkin taste to the dango and made fox :D
Today I will show you how to make this cutest dango foxes!
Ingredient
- pumpkin power
- water
- dango power (you can get them at japanese market, it's called shiratama dango mix or rice cake mix)
- chocolate
First, you put dango powder in two 2 separate bowls.
Add pumpkin power in one bowl, add water and knead.
Make fox on the perchment paper!
This process is very fun, it's like you are playing with clay.
Then put them gently in to boiling water.
When they float to the top, you scoop them up and put in ice cold water right away, when it's chilled you put it on parchment paper to let them dry for a bit.
Draw face with melted chocolates!
Serve with OSHIRUKO ❤️
Or you can serve with sweet soy!

おしるこに浸かってくつろいでいます❤️
みたらし団子にもしてみましたよ!お皿も茶色なのでよく見えませんが美味しかったです。
白玉だんごは簡単だし色々工夫すればもっと可愛いお団子さん達がいっぱい作れますよヾ(⌒▽⌒)ゞ
