The best era
Are we living in the best era? Such a trickish question
Can any era be considered the best ? Even our grandparents that were from the past era that are still living are a little bit happy for the advancement of technology when it comes to transportation and communication
They are happy that you don’t necessarily have to trek from one state to the other or stay on the road for days
They liked this era for the fact that you can actually call someone on the phone wherever they are and they will answer ,you don’t necessarily need to sent a message bird or a messenger
Social media has made it possible for us to be able to communicate with people all over the world you actually speak, see people all over the globe .
I’ve heard lots of stories from my grandma about their own era
It’s was an era of No technology and they lived fine ,more healthier and longer
During these times when traveling to Lagos from the east they send 4 days on the road
In marketing goods were bought using exchange they had no money
When going to the farm they carry a very big basket on their heads with loads and that’s alone is uncomfortable , walking a long distance with heavy’s load on one’s head can predispose one to some illness
Let’s talk about heath in those days health was another thing
Some illness were considered to be a punishment from the gods in the case of psychosis and necrosis
Some illnesses that could not be treated and prevented then can be prevented and treated now
In those days HIV was greatly fear those the disease was not rampant as it is now
Then anyone with it was isolated from other people and there was no management of what so ever they do not know what the disease was
Those that had it ended up diminishing each day . Some spread the disease without knowing what it was
Not knowing if it’s a communicable disease or not
If there was technology then as it is now
So many problems issues death could’ve been prevented
They own less items
Then In these era there’s technology
Vehicles, ships and planes are made to ease stress and make transportation easier and faster
We now have a currency that we use in buying and selling
And there’s electricity, construction of roads and water supply and so many other things
All these things made human life easier
I cannot imagine trekking for days, looking for a place to get water
In conclusion
I am happy to be in these era though these generations are over doing things and at same time I wish I could have a little experience of my ancestral life so that I can be able to appreciate the things and life I live
