Spent the day baking a birthday cake for my friend's daughter. She's turning 2. I love baking and since we couldn't make it to the party tomorrow, I made it as her birthday present. I'm not a pro baker by any means, but I think it turned out pretty good. I know the cake tastes good. It's my secret recipe. Ok, not really a secret. It's a box cake mix. 😂
The secret part is to not use water and oil like the package tells you to. Replace the water with milk in equal amounts. Replace the oil with melted butter and double what the box calls for. Add one more egg than the box calls for.
This will give you a rich and dense cake, just like from a bakery. If you want that Costco creme filling stuff, just mix a box of instant pudding mix with some heavy cream. It's so easy and people won't believe it's homemade. 😊
Since I had some time and a new canvas, I painted this cute little name art for miss Frankie. Her name is so unique and it suits her well. Her little smile is like a rainbow sunshine. 😙
