Our babies turned 4 today.
I fought off the crud that one of them infected me with and got to work on making a party happen when they came home from pre school.
I finished the cake and it actually turned out kinda decent. River said it was yummy anyways.. lol.
We started our day with River declaring, " l am 4. I am a big girl now!" Then she ran in to Simon's room and jumped on his bed and yelled, "Simon! its our birthday!"

After breakfast I gave them each their first present. Gigantic plush blankets, paw patrol for mr. Simon, and minnie mouse for river. The blankets were a huge hit. they snuggled up in them and watched cartoons until it was time to get ready for school.
After school I told them they could request anything they wanted for dinner. River was craving McDonalds and Simon wanted pizza. No amount of discussion could change either one's mind, so naturally, I ordered pizza from pizza hut and had McDonald's delivered with uber eats. (seriously, thank god for food delivery, makes things so much easier)
My mom came home early from work and got to watch them open presents and have cake with us. We were able to Skype with a few times during the festivities and they showed off all their new toys to daddy. Chris had brought a number 4 candle out to the field with him. he lit the candle and had them "blow it out". he asked them what they wished for. River ignored the question, but Simon piped up and said, "me want to stay in our home forever." šš
Guys, seriously, these last 4 years have both made me and broken me. But I could never trade it for anything else. there is nothing else but them, for me. they are the best thing I ever made.
Happy birthday Simon Apollo and River Amelia! Love you! ššš
This momma is exhausted after building 2 blaze and the monster machine toys and one princess dollhouse. I'm gonna crash in my nice heated bed and try not to think about the fights that will happen over new toys tomorrow. šš¤
Thanks for reading. Love and light!
