Description:
Kaoru is a young woman with a childish face. She has slender blue eyes, long black hair, usually tied in a ponytail. Her character is Stubborn and strong-willed, Kaoru brings with her all the pride and strength of the samurai descendants. Very independent, she would gladly place her blood, sweat, tears and even life on the line to protect her father's legacy, and precious friends with her own hands. Believing wholeheartedly in Kamiya Kasshin-ryu's ideal of Katsujin-ken (the life-protecting sword), Kaoru has great confidence in the potential, honor and art of kenjutsu and rejects with the same spirit the idea that swords exist only to commit crimes and take life .
Kaoru also has a fiery character, she often shows violence at will when she feels that has been underestimated or insulted. As a teacher of the Kamiya Kasshin-ryū, she mastered the successions techniques. In the first one, Hadome, Kaoru crosses her arms over her head and traps the blade of an attacker between the backs of her hands, retaining the grip of on her own sword. If properly used, this can be chained into Hawatari, Kamiya Kasshin-ryū's offensive succession technique.
