As the name implies, this one tilapia fish comes from Cangringan. According to some sources, one fish comes from the genetic recovery of nifi, citralada, singapore and philippine strains by BAT or BBI Cangkringan. It's just that this one fish is still very rarely known by the community, given the local body has not officially disseminate to the public.
Tilapia Cangringan is also considered to have an advantage in terms of growth. Starting from the hatch larvae, it can reach a weight of 200 grams within a period of 4 months. A female parent weighing 50 grams can give birth to 1700 larvae.
