I Haven’t Been Here Since I Was a Kid… Now I’m Here for My Future
Good day, my dearest Hive friends! This blog is all about me visiting a pace I haven't been to in a long time, along with my college interview experience.
If you guys didn't know, I'm from the province, and I'll be studying in the city for college. As someone who comes from a family that isn't wealthy, it's really hard for us to travel rom the province to the city because bus fares are expensive, plus we still have to spend on food and accommodations. It actually took me a long time to convince my parents to let me study in the city. At first, they really didn’t want me to, first because we don’t have enough money, and second because they don’t have anyone there to look after me.
If you might be wondering why I didn’t choose to study in the province for college, well, the answer isss that there’s no university here that offers Mechanical Engineering. And I don’t want to force myself to study a program that I’m not passionate about.
The Journey to Lapu-Lapu City
-A selfie while waiting for the bus
-After four hours, we finally got off the bus, then waited for a modern jeepney so we could finally go to Lapu-Lapu City.
-Finally, after so many years, I’m back at SM Hypermarket Lapu-Lapu. I still remember waiting here every 5 PM with my mom and brother, excited for my dad to arrive from work. And of course, our favorite part, eating turon together. Simple memories, but they mean so much.
-City Time Square Mactan
When we used to come here before, it was still under construction. Now, it looks so beautiful.
-Selfie while my mom shops for her new clothes.
-My favorite combo snack: Buko juice + fries from Potato Corner.
-My mom is finally reunited with her mom and sister. They really look alike—like photocopies of each other!
THE NEXT DAY: INTERVIEW DAY
I was so nervous preparing for all the possible questions, guys, like super DUPER NERVOUS the whole time, huhuhuhu. Then the funny part is, while we were on the TAXI on the way to CTU, I ended up feeling dizzy and vomited because of the jeep’s smell plus my anxiety, huhu.
Then thankfully, the interviewerr was really kind, guys. It felt like we were just in a therapy session because she only asked me about my experience during the earthquake here in Cebu province.
That would be all, thank you for reading!
