Moments I'll Never Forget: My Work Immersion Highlights DAY 1 & 2 (The Orientation)
Good day, my dearest hive friends! This blog is all about my immersion highlights for Day 1 and Day 2.
So, someone asked me in my previous blog (the preparation part of this series) if I continued with teaching for my work immersion. Someone also said that they graduated as a chemical engineer but ended up pursuing teaching instead. To answer your question, I actually begged my teacher to transfer me to the engineering department for my work immersion, and thankfully, she finally agreed after months of me asking.
So, I was assigned to CEBECO 2, and I had a lot of expectations. At first, I really thought they would make us climb electric posts, so I was both scared and excited at the same time. Even before the immersion started, I already had so many imaginations about what might happen.
DAY 1
On the first day, my classmates and I who were also assigned to CEBECO, planned to go together and ride the bus, but unfortunately, it didn't push through. So, my dad just dropped me off instead. We arrived really early, around 6:15 AM, and we had to wait for a few hours before we actually started because at CEBECO 2, they usually have meetings every Monday.
The moment we entered the activity hall, it felt like we were celebrities because everyone formed two lines and we walked in between them (I don’t know what that’s called).
Most of the time, it was just orientation. They introduced CEBECO 2 to us, explained the dos and don'ts, and we also met students from another school.
There was even someone with red hair, and my classmates said he looked like Gian Bernardo, BWAHAHA, I was just laughing at themm the whole time.
We got home really late that day because my dad didn't pick me up, and we waited for a bus to save money. We waited for so long that we decided to just walk and stop whenever a bus passed by. Thankfully, we all got home safely.
DAY 2
It was still about orientation, but this time we were grouped, so we were able to interact with students from other schools. Honestly, one of the highlights of my immersion iss making new friends from differentt schools.
During the discussions, they would ask questions, would receivve a tumbler or a mug. I didn’t win anything, but Siah gave me one of his mugs since he won two, thank you, Sai!
After the group activities, all the schools had a dancee presentation. After that, we were finally given our ID passes.
This time, my dad picked me up, and I’m really thankful for himm. I love you, Papa!
That would be all, thank you for reading!
