One Random Picnic With Friends That Turned Into a Core Memory
Good day, my dearest hive friends! This blog is all about my picnic with friends.
This is a late upload because this happened last January during my mini blogging hiatus.
Since this happened last January, I was still a Grade 12 student at that time, and face-to-face classes still hadn't resumed because of the earthquake here in Northern Cebu. So, all of our classes were still modular and online. However, our Entrepreneurship teacher required us to submit a portfolio, which is why my friends and I had to meet up.
Almost everyone in our friend group has strict parents, so we rarely get the chance to see each other. That's why after we submitted our portfolio, we decided to take the opportunity to bond together. We ended up having a picnic at the beach, and everything was very unplanned. Thankfully, our parents were okay with it naman.
On The Way To Lapyahan
Since the beach was only within walking distance from our school, we decided to just walk so we could save money, plus it also felt like a little exercise for us.
While we were walking, we couldn't stop laughing because we kept sharing funny stories with each other, and most of them were really hilarious.
Childhood Favorite Snack
It had been such a long time since I last ate taho. Ever since I was a child, this has always been one of my favorites. I even used to want this as my breakfast every day before. So when I saw someone selling taho, my friends and I immediately bought some.
But it didn't taste the same as before because the arnibal from the vendor we bought it from was no longer sweet. We also felt like what we bought might not have been fresh anymore, so we decided not to finish it.
Picnic
Since everything was unplanned, we decided to just buy food from a new restaurant here in San Remigio called Chabby Habby. I think they’ve already been around in Bogo for quite some time, but their branch here in San Remigio is still pretty new. Since the place was a bit far, Aj volunteered to buy the food for us instead.
Since the place was still new, I didn't really have any idea if their food was good, so I just ordered something simple which is egg with rice. I was a bit disappointed because the egg yolk was still very runny, and we even joked that it might have salmonella. We kept laughing about it the whole time.
In the end, it turned out there really was something off, because after about a day, my stomach started to hurt. We even had a pictorial during that time, so it was a funny but kind of unfortunate experience at the same time. I'll share the whole story in a separate blog.
After we ate, my friend filmed videos for her Tiktok affiliate content. Of course, as supportive friends, we helped her out and participated in the shoot.
After we finished filming the videos, we took a group selfie by the sea.
This picnic really became a core memory for me because so many things happened, and I was able to bond even more with my friends. Thank you guys for being one of the many wonderful colors in my life. Love lots, Ktine.
