Weekend Memories from Our Fiesta Celebration
As Filipinos, celebration fiestas has always been one of our traditions, especially for Catholic families. Ever since I was a child, I have always loved going around and enjoying every fiesta celebration.
But now that I am already a teenager, I honestly do not care much about fiestas anymore because I do not really like crowded places. Even so, I still went to our barangay fiesta this time because they had a Little Princess segment.
My niece, Zia, joined the competition, and she even became the first runner-up. As a supportive older sister, I really made sure to cheer and support her throughout the event.
Outfit Check
Before we left, my mom asked me about my outfit. Usually, I do not pay much attention to what I wear, but this time, I decided to wear some brand-new clothes that I brought a long time ago but never had the chance to use.
I wore a blue shirt with ribbons and a white skirt. I honestly loved my outfit that day, and I felt really happy and confident wearing it.
Filipino Time
When we arrived, the program said it would start at 7 PM, but it actually began around 9 PM because of Filipino time. Since most of the participants were children, I think they should have started earlier because the kids were already gettinng sleepy.
I really get annoyed by Filipino time. It is honestly one of the things I hate the most because it can be so frustrating.
What I Did While Waiting
While waiting for the program to start, since my cousin Kendrick was also with me, we were just playing around. He was already running so fastt, and I got tired chasing after him, but he was so cute because he kept kissing me. I really love him even though he keeps biting me sometimes. There was a time when he already got tired, so we rested for a while, and then after that, he started playing again.
Before the program even started, I was already getting hungry, so I decided to buy my favorite French fries with drinks. My younger sibling also bought corn wuth cheese.
The French fries with drink was a 9/10 because the drink didn’t really have much taste.
But the corn with cheese was a 10/10 because the combination was really delicious. I loved it.
Zia Maureen, First Runner-Up
Finally, it finally started. Zia looked so cute, and her gown really suited her well.
She was introduced as "Barangay Looc's First Runner-Up in Little Princess, Zia Maureen." My baby looked so adorable.
A lot of people also complimented her because they said the gown really fit her perfectly. They also kept saying she looked very cute.
And this is the picture of Zia with her cute partner. They really look adorable together, and their tandem is so sweet and charming.
They both looked so cute and happy on stage.
After everything, the event finally ended. We actually waited longer for it to start than the whole program itselff. The program was still nice, but I didn't get to take many pictures because I was already tired.
The only bad part of the experience was really the Filipino time, becuase it made everything start so late and feel a bit exhausting.
In the end, at least we were happy, and Zia was also very happy. That would be all, thank you for reading.
