गृहस्थाश्रम और संस्कार
पूर्व जन्म के अनेक पुण्यकों को निमित बनाकर
ही परम कृपालु परमात्मा जीव को श्रेष्ठ मानव जन्म
प्रदान करता है। भारतवर्ष में मनुष्य जन्म की प्राप्ति तो
और भी महान सौभाग्य की बात है। इस जीव का है।
परम लक्ष्य भगवान को प्राप्त करना है। क्योंकि जब
तक जीव अपने स्वामी परमेश्वर का प्रत्यक्ष दर्शन
नहीं कर लेता है तब तक इस संसार से उसका
छुटकारा नहीं हो सकता है।, परन्तु संसार में आते ही
जीव अहकार, ममता, मोह, कामना, आसक्ति तथा
रागद्वेष में फंसकर परमात्मा को भूल जाता है तथा वह
विभिन्न योनियों में भटकता है ।मुख्य रूप से मनुष्य का
का कर्तव्य गृहस्थाश्रम में ही
सम्पन्न होता है। गृहस्थाश्रम में रहकर ही जीव सत्कर्म
करके आत्मोन्नति कर सकता है । हमारे शास्त्रों में चार
आश्रम बताये गए है।ब्रम्हाचार्य मुख्य रूप से विद्याध्ययन
का समय है। तत्पश्चात मनुष्य गृहस्थाश्रम में प्रवेश
करता है। इसमें ही मनुष्य पितृ ऋण से मुक्त होता है।
चारों पुरूषार्थों (, अर्थकाम, मोक्ष) की सिद्धि भी
इसी गृहस्थाश्रम में प्राप्त की जा सकती है। इसीलिए
चारों आश्रमों में गृहस्थाश्रम को मुख्य तथा सभी आश्रमों
का उपकार करने वाला माना गया है। जैसे सभी जीव
माता का सहारा लेकर जीवन धारण करते है, उसी
प्रकार सभी आश्रम भी गृहस्थाश्रम का सहारा लेकर
ही जीवन यापन करते है।
