I spend a lot of time reviewing comic book art on my blog, so it might make sense to you, that I draw comic style art and have ever since I was a kid. This is all original art by KidSysco and I will break down each piece giving some insight into the creation process.

Empress Scala

A few weeks ago I created a similar post about Empress Scala showing her in one of her finest moments. This time around, she is a bit upset. The Empress has no mouth so she speaks using psychic energy. When she is angry, the psychic energy really starts to flow all around her and you can tell... She is PISSED!

Initial Sketching

I started out in the sketchbook as usual, then photographed the image using a digital camera so I could pull it into Photoshop.

The Outline

Outlining and coloring in the solid black is usually my first step.

Painting

After the outline is complete, I start painting on new layers below the outline layer until it is complete.
