Hello everyone, my name is Artur Alves and I'm 30 years old.
I live in Lisbon and work as a PHP Developer at Aubay Portugal for TheFork.
My hobbies include going to the gym, listening to very specific genres of awesome music, playing drums, playing all kinds of games, developing personal open source projects (that will never be finished) on Github and maybe something else that I'm forgetting.
I have a beautiful girlfriend, a cat, a dog and this computer that I manage to turn on twice a month when I get some free time.

They were both rescued from the streets when they were still babies. My cat is 4 or 5 years old and my dog is 2 or 3, I don't know. The cat didn't like the dog at first and were always running away from him, but now they get along just fine.
Sorry for not publishing a photo of my girlfriend. If she would find out that I'm posting her photos without her permission I would get a big slap in my face. I'm also not uploading a photo of my computer but if anyone really wishes to see it, just ask.
My background on crypto currencies
I've heard about the Bitcoin some years ago but I didn't have too much interest to understand what it was all about and now I really regret it.
Back then I thought the only way to gey bitcoins was by mining and since my computer is not very good, it wouldn't make me too much money.
I have only started to take a real interest in crypto currencies last month and I have started by investing in Ethereum. Since the day I bought Ethereum, the price is falling almost every day and is now 50% cheaper than it was, so I guess this in an invitation for me to buy some more and to get poor.
How I found Steemit
On my hard quest to know everything about crypto currencies in the shortest amount of time possible, I found a great Youtube channel from the , and after watching some of his newer videos I saw one about the Steemit.
I had the urge to create an account right away and here I am, some weeks later, after finally having the time to write something nice about me.
What I expect from Steemit
I usually don't post too much stuff on social networks and honestly I don't know what really made me create an account here.
I will try to open up myself to the interwebs more often and maybe start to write about something, but for now, I only demand a huge amount of money to stop working and be able to travel the world by bicycle. If Steemit doesn't give me this oportunity I will be very disappointed and will close the account right away.
Just kiding, I would be very happy if anyone took the time to read this, really. I wouldn't read my post if I was someone else. If you are reading this, what are you doing? Don't let me waste your time in vain!
What you can expect from myself
Nothing good. I don't know what kind of stuff I will publish yet, but I garantee it will be awful.
