In the city where I currently reside, there is a tradition that I think is very common in many communities and cities in Nigeria. They have it that it's taboo for a married woman to make out with another man. Yeah, when a woman is married, the law forbids her to make out with another man. This is not just watched or monitored by mere paper laws, it's said that whenever a woman crosses this boundary, the family of the woman, I mean the main family gets visited by the gods of the land through many negative happenings such as critical illness that leads to death either to the husband, children or the woman, there are set backs in the house and many other negative happenings.
But this law does not affect men. Yeah, men are free to cheat and nothing will happen to them. I don't know how they came about this law, but it's very obvious that it was the men who made the law. Lol😅 Both genders made the laws in agreement, they would have imposed the law on men too.
Anyways, I don't know how real and effective the law is, I haven't heard or seen anyone who was struck down because his wife cheated, but for them to still hold on to the law, it shows it's real. Or what do you think?
I've asked the indigens several times to ask what happens to the man or boy the woman cheated with and they don't always provide a reason answer. But it seems the man or boy that the woman made out with is always free without any course.
As much as I don't often get along with some traditions especially when I know that the law is biased, I always run away from married women. I don't want any problem, either from God or the devil.
