Oh, man, friends! This is a late night, indeed. I’m, again, trying to fit everything in to my day, running out of the necessary hours to complete everything. The cost of friends, family, art, editing, drawing, writing, MTG, exercise, food and Steemit is usually enjoying only four hours of sleep. With that being said, let me get on with it.
Tonight’s photography is from a couple years ago. I’ve chronicled the massive undertaking that was the annual all inclusive Old Hollywood black and white photography event I held called NOIR. It started in 2014. It eventually made it’s way to NYC and LA in addition to Minneapolis. This shoot was from the last NOIR event held in the fall of 2016.
I booked a world class team and hosted the event at a jaw dropped mansion estate in La Cañada. Hair was by my close friend and brilliant stylist, Liz Garza. Make-up by our very own Steemian, 
This shoot was with a beautiful, curvy pinup named Anastassia. It was one of the first shoots of the two day event. She came ready and wide-eyed at the space we were shooting.
Sometimes, it can take a model a bit to warm up. At times, that’s an obstacles for events like NOIR because many of the shoot packages are only 30 minutes, as was the case with Anastassia. Fortunately, she snapped in to a sultry, strong presence almost immediately. We made our way around the estate as the sun went down, creating dark pinup photos.
The light conditions for this shoot were challenging in the minimal options we had, but, this is my favorite part of shooting a diegetic style. Hanging strings of lights on the patio and a knocked over desk lamp were enough to capture a haunting, timeless image of this lovely woman.
