Sick in bed tonight, Steemit. I don’t know what happened. I was feeling better, then this morning I was overcome with what I think is a wicked stomach flu. Over the weekend, said he was feeling sick, the less than an hour later he barfed right in the middle of
. Apparently, some made it’s way to
’ bag, then he and I both got sick. We laughed yesterday, referencing Magic: The Gathering’s The Glyph Keeper. How it has a protective bubble around it so the first spell each turn bounces off the sphinx. After that, though, it’s vulnerable to the second or third spell, and so on. We laughed that
is the same way with getting sick. His impervious to the virus or bacteria’s first attempt, but someone how
’s puke splattering escapades managed to get through his protective bubble. I’m feeling awful, so it’s nice that half of my living is made on Steemit, which I can do from bed.
The photos I’m sharing with you tonight are of my longtime friend, Tawnie Rae. She came to me way back in 2011. I was shooting and traveling a lot between Minneapolis and Scranton, PA. Tawnie was living at State College, PA, but friends with many of the girls trying to make a name for themselves modeling in my hometown. We discussed rates, picked a date and during one of my many trips back to Scranton, we met. My friend Chelsea Sakavage did make-up and we shot inside a Catholic church that had been bought by an art collective and converted in to studios and performance space.
We’d shot again in Atlantic City, NJ two years later. She’d met me there and she’d booked a gorgeous suite in an ocean side hotel. She’d matured as a model gaining more experience over the years, as did I. Half of the shoot was inside the hotel, shooting sleek, sexy lingerie. The other concept was down by the pier. She’d put together this incredible mermaid inspired costume, which we were able to shoot just as the sun was setting over the Atlantic Ocean.
I’ve shot with Tawnie again since. She’s a proud mom of two babies, and I shot her maternity photos, and the again, in the Spring of 2015 when she visited me in Minneapolis. Those photos I’ll be sharing another day in a future blog post. We still stay in touch regularly and she’s been very motivated to meet up for another shoot. We’ll see what 2018 holds for us.
