These are some of my paintings and drawings from the first year of art restoration university. It was a 5 year degree and I quit after second year to pursue digital art on my own.
I discovered digital art the summer before entering university, so it was too late for me at the time to pick a different one. Also I didn't have many choices, nothing even close to what I do now. I'm glad I didn't stick around for 3 more years, However, the two that I did spend there at least weren't for nothing.
We did more art than this, but barely keep anything. Luckily I took at least a few shabby photos and edited them to make them presentable :)
I'll post the art from year 2 tomorrow as the post is already a bit too long...
Our reference: a bust of Zeus.
All of these are drawn and painted from real life reference set by the professors.

Totally a meme face?
We painted two same old ladies all the time. One of them kept sleeping more than half of the time haha. (The one from the paintings above)
I enjoyed making this painting with temperas. I always preferred more challenging compositions.

We actually went to a botanical park to do these studies.
After a few art sessions in the garden, I got inspired to make a complete painting shown above in my free time.
