So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the third topic for this week, which is “ADOPTING A CHILD”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “THE BEST ERA”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community, telling us their thoughts on the best era to be alive in as a person. From the present times to the past, humanity has had to experience several eras that are all unique in their own ways. And now, many have come with their thoughts on which is the best.
We got to see that indeed, while we no longer have access to the eras that have passed, we only have this present era, for which it’s up to us to decide how good or bad that we want it to be. This was an enlightening topic, indeed.

And with the number of wonderful posts out there, it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. Meanwhile, here in the present, the advancement of technology, shrinking the world into a global village, is only making things more complex. However, there is no ‘best’ era because for every era, there was a major advancement that differentiated it, and those milestones came at a huge price, paid by the people of the time.

ADOPTING A CHILD
“The processes to adopt children are always long and require lots of red tape, with requirements that many times, prospective parents fail to meet. If the rules were made to be less strict, more children would most likely be adopted. But then will this be a good thing? If the rules became less stringent and the children suffered for it, would it be worth it, seeing as there are more children in homes than there are in orphanages? Please let us know.”
