The Voice Of a Child
Never wanting to walk from a Challenge
Nor camouflage under the canopy of cowardice either
For the silent voice of my child whispers "help".
The fight might be all tough
The scene scares the Soul out of my Body
And my Marrows suddenly leaks off my Bones
For the silent voice of my child whispers "help".
The strength of a Mother is about to fail
And the hands of a Father is about to fall
A family is about to be torn apart
For the silent voice of my child whispers "help".
Now I have heard a whisper from within saying "Quit being a Wimp"
Please do not walk away from this fight
Even when a swollen face and bruises awaits
For the silent voice of my child whispers "help".
But then this is COURAGE
Courage not gotten from within me
But from the springing Love for my Child
And YOU that is ready to stand by me
For the silent voice of my child whispers "Thank-You".
