Well, in typical Colorado fashion, we are at a beautiful 65 degrees and sunny today. Winter storm advisory, 3 inches of snow, and a high of 22 degrees predicted for tomorrow. What a shift! We are down below the frontrange so not near as much snow as they get in the mountains.
I decided to take advantage of the weather and get my woods time in with nature. Took a wonderful hike, and some drone shots along the way.
These were all taken near Franktown, CO.
Above view out behind our little cabin towards open space, Pikes Peak visible way out in the distance.
Overhead view directly over the open space.
Lower view of Pines and scrub oaks out in front of our cabin. Not much color, they changed almost overnight from last little snow we had.
More scrub oaks, they will be losing their leaves soon, but had a Lot of acorns this year that are attracting the deer and turkey.
This one taken the other direction, more northwest towards the frontrange. Zoom in and you can see the snow in the higher mountain peaks already.
