Good morning! Today I'm sharing a brush-testing drawing of Jinshi, from The Apothecary Diaries. Enjoyy!!!
Some days ago, a video of the IbisPaint X oficial account popped on my reels page. And, I took some free brushes in exchange of my time spent. Now, today I got a video of someone sharing how they used textured pencils to achieve a cool look—so, I took the opportunity and got to work. This drawing took me roughly an hour, but its mostly because of unnecessary tweaking of things I could've done faster(excuse). Anyways, here's a quick rundown of the process:
First, lay out the base colors of the silhouette
Second, start defining your silhouette and structure; in my case, facial features, hair and cloth.
Last but not least, add more details. Just keep rendering and layering textured brushes over textured brushes and you're about done.
Obviously, this is not as textured as I would've wanted. But I still have practically zero experience with texture and stuff, so this is a decent try imo.
