I have been sitting here in front of the laptop, an old thing that I have had with me for a few years...what am I saying...it's been more than eight years since I have had this piece of technology but it has served me well...while listening to music and mulling over the fact of what to write. I know what I want to write about but how to go about it seems to elude me a bit. I will give it a try nonetheless. I would like to introduce you to my lovely daughter, Rhian Ameerah...as of writing this she is only 19 days old and the day she was born was one of the most happiest days of my life. I spent around 17 hours in the hospital waiting for her with mixed emotions. Anticipation, anger (mainly because the staff here wouldn't let me into the delivery room to stay with my wife), happiness, impatience...you know all the emotions that you can feel while waiting for your child to be born.
Believe me not when I say there is no feeling in the world that can describe what you go through the moment your child is put into your arms. I didn't know whether I should cry or smile but both happened at the same time. A cute little angel dropped right into my arms (not by stork as the first picture shows) :P but by a wonderful nurse who was attending to my wife. She's a strong child and I am happy to be her father. I have been through a lot in the past thirty years, seen my family fall apart and all my siblings scattered here and there. Even lost my chance to do the things that I wanted to when it came to my education but for my child, I will make sure to not be the same type of father. I will make sure to give her everything that she wants and will work hard in order to provide a better future for her. Of course that is something that all of us wish for our children.
Before she was born I had a few friends who helped me out with a few things and I also wanted to take the time to thank them for what they have done. And what better way to do it than to talk about them here where everyone can see how helpful they have been. On my birthday, these few strangers whom I have never meant pooled some cash together and decided to gift it to me. It was mean't for me but I chose to use it for my kid, so that I could buy her a crib ( even if it was second hand) and she loved it. ,
, @Bill48105,
,
and @WhitesoxCrypto thank you from both me and Rhian. You guys have not only helped me out getting ready for my kid but there were plenty of times when you gave me good advice on a lot of things and for that I am very grateful. I thank god that he has given me such good friends even though we have never met in person. :)
Don't worry baby won't ever make this face at you guys :P
