Hi! My true name is Rafael, but I use laphysique (French for thephysics) as my username because I am a physics enthusiast. In my title, I mentioned that I think I am a boring person. This is because I do not think I have any set of characteristics that give my companionship perks. Also, I am not a fan of going to parties, hanging out, playing sports, and doing outdoor and physical activities. One may even classify me in the typical geek archetype. It will also be evident in my future posts that I currently lack the necessary amount of creativity to weave photos, videos, and artworks in my entries; unless the topic of my blog entry is any of the aforementioned elements. I will be working on this problem, and hopefully I can become a fun person with the help of the Steemit community.
Carl Sagan once said, "We are a way for the Cosmos to know itself." This quotation served as the inspiration of the first half of my title. I hold this quotation dearly as it fuels my curiosity to understand things. Because of it, I developed passion for arts, literature, and philosophy -- as they help us understand more deeply the intricacies of human life -- and deep affection to math and science -- as they help us understand the universe and ourselves. I am a big fan of Albert Einstein, and Richard Feynman. I am also a fan of contemporary writers Donna Tartt, Anne Enright, and Haruki Murukami. I enjoy classics as well: The Catcher in the Rye, The Great Gatsby, The Diary of a Young Girl, etc. My favorite novels are The Perks of Being a Wallflower and The Gathering.
It would seem like I spend a lot of time reading. Honestly, I don't read that much. I spend most of time solving puzzles, playing android app games, doing physics and math problems, and (most especially) watching good series like Game of Thrones, and Black Mirror. When I have time to spare, I watch anime.
I thank for introducing me to Steemit, and
for giving me a guide on the basics of Steemit
