I bring you these beautiful flowers of Cactaceae species growing in Venezuela.
This intense orange flower belongs to Pereskia bleo. The genus Pereskia is the only one Cactaceae that have leaves.
Pereskia bleo is native of Colombia and Panamá. This specimen is growing in the Botanical Garden where I work in Maracay, Venezuela (Jardín Botánico Universitario de Maracay, Baltasar Trujillo).
This other species belongs to genus Melocactus that are globose cacti.
This is growing in El Morro (Mérida, Venezuela)
