The camera used to take the picture above was Nikon D5000.
The reason why the person above is tied to a tree is to show protest against a mall here in Baguio because of a proposed development project wherein 182 trees will be cut. There were numerous protests and rallies to stop the mall's project to no avail. The mall's project is now undergoing.
This brave soul is standing up (tightly that is) to what he believes in. That is Dong Abay. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dong_Abay) He stood there and was stared at, photographed and surely talked about. (The tree he was tied to was not cut)
Famous singer and environmentalist Sting also made a stand and showed his support by not performing in Mall of Asia. Instead he moved the venue of his tour in another mall not associated to Mall of Asia.
If you advocate for something, show it. Prove it.
