I've complained a lot recently about our lack of rain but as we were thinking the rainy season wasn't going to happen, it happened, and happened on an epic scale!
Back in the UK, all the talk is of Storm Babet and whilst we don't get the awful winds, we get the rain delivered in biblical amounts.
We don't have guttering and I often wonder whether we need it but when it rains like this, the water would just overflow anyway so why spend the money?
My recently completed threshold and wall, designed to stop all my backfill washing down the road was also completely overwhelmed so that didn't go down too well with the wife!
Hopefully though, a week or so of the expected daily downpours and the water company will leave the supply on 24/7 instead of the 3 days a week that we currently have due to the worst shortages we've had on the island for a long time.
On the downside, the garden is going to grow like crazy again. More work!
Of course, the best thing to do is be a cat. When life gets in the way. Sleep till things change.
That's it for today. Hope everyone has a great weekend and I can get back in the Hive groove with a few posts. It's nearly Christmas already!
