An historic win for England, knocking Germany out of a tournament for the first time since winning the World Cup in 1966 but let's be honest. It wasn't the greatest match ever played!
Both teams looked poor and didn't produce any of the top-quality football we'd normally associate with the English of German leagues.
I thought Sterling was dreadful despite scoring the first goal and settling England down a little. He is too greedy and wasteful, there being many times he could have passed the ball to a player in a better position rather than trying to wiggle his way through the German defence alone and invariably losing the ball.
Again, Kane looked lethargic and leggy but I've never rated him. He only scores the number of goals he does at Spurs because Son is probably one of the best 5 player in the country!
Anyway, we won and live to fight another day. Saturday to be precise against the night's other winners which were Ukraine who beat Sweden after the game went to extra time. A red card in the 99th minute did Sweden no favours.
