Very sad two weeks - losing two of my beloved pets has left me feeling helpless and of course very sad. Helpless because their deaths could have been avoided. My Calico cat, Sally, was 6 years old and got cat biliary which I didn't detect in time. She was aloof by nature, and usually let me rub her tummy when I went to fill the food bowls. By the time I realised how ill she was it was too late and she died within 5 minutes of reaching the vet's rooms.
Here she is with the black & white Charlie, who died of old age at 16, and the ginger Dexter, Sally's kitten.
And a week later, our one year old little terrier, Floki, escaped out of the garden. He went into a neighbour's yard, they have just moved in and have 2 pitbulls which ended his life. He was an escape artist and we had just repaired our fence in two places. We thought we had him secure, but he somehow managed to get out. He was very playful, and just wanted to play with the new neighbours. Here he is, sitting at my husband's feet.
We still have the ginger boy Dexter, and two large breeds Roxy (5) and Rukia (2). And our two bunnies, Shinobi and Lola. Here's Dexter, Roxy and Rukia checking out Shinobi (black bunny).
Thanks for indulging my memories!
