What to do if there is no vegan ice cream around? Well you make your own. This is just a one example of how to make your homemade ice cream that is also called nice cream. Even if you use just frozen banana alone, you get a super delicious, cruelty free and healthy summer treat. Not to mention, cost effective too, because vegan ice cream can be very pricey.
SUMMER TREAT
Raspberry and Spirulina Ice Cream
Vegan – Gluten Free – Refined Sugar Free
INGREDIENTS for 4 portions
• Fully ripe frozen bananas 4
• Raspberry frozen 2 cups
• Canned Coconut cream 2 cups
• Pure Vanilla extract 1 tsp
• Spirulina powder 1 tsp
• Maple syrup 4 tbs (optional or you may add more of you like )
• Rectangular dish
• Chopstick
• Mini ice cream scoop.
PROCESS
• Blend bananas, coconut cream and maple syrup in a blender until smooth.
• Remove half of the mixture into a bowl and set aside.
• Add spirulina with vanilla and blend again thoroughly.
• Transfer the mixture into a bowl and set aside.
• Transfer he first mixture into a blender and blend with raspberries.
• Fill the half of your dish with raspberry mixture and the other half with spirulina mixture.
• With a chopstick, create a swirls from one side to the other.
• Place into a freezer for 2 to 3 hours.
• Leave it on the counter for 20 min before serving and use mini ice cream scoop to serve.
